Rascals Castles Mid Ulster – Terms and Conditions of Hire

Please read these terms carefully and ensure they are followed at all times to keep everyone safe and ensure a fun-filled day.

Age Restrictions

• Our standard inflatables are suitable for children up to 16 years old.

• If you have hired an adult bouncy castle, it will be clearly stated. No adults should use the inflatable unless it is designed for adult use.

Food, Drink & Personal Items

• No food, drinks (including alcohol), or chewing gum on or near the inflatable to avoid choking or damage.

• Remove all shoes, glasses, jewellery, badges, and other sharp or loose items before entering.

• Spectacles and hair accessories like plastic alice bands should also be removed for safety.

Weather and Wind

• Inflatables must not be used in winds exceeding 19mph.

• If it rains and your inflatable has no cover, please stop using it until it’s dry.

• In heavy rain, switch off the blower for safety. Any water or bubbles can be dried off with a towel.

Supervision

• A responsible adult (over 18) must supervise the inflatable at all times.

• Make sure users are behaving safely – no pushing, fighting, colliding, or rough play.

• Separate older/larger children from younger/smaller ones where possible.

Prohibited Items and Actions

• No pets, toys, or sharp objects near or on the inflatable.

• No smoking or barbecues near the inflatable.

• Do not allow bouncing or sitting on the entrance step – it’s there to help users on and off safely.

• No somersaults or dangerous behaviour allowed.

• The inflatable must not be moved after setup.

• Climbing, hanging, or sitting on walls or sides is strictly prohibited.

Inflation & Power

• Do not allow anyone on the inflatable during inflation or deflation.

• If the inflatable is not in use, switch off the blower at the mains.

• If the blower stops, switch off the power, wait 1–2 minutes, then restart. If the issue continues, check the blower tube, extension lead or fuse. Contact us immediately if it still doesn’t work.

Health and Safety

• People with back or neck problems, or anyone feeling unwell, should not use the inflatable.

• Keep at least 6 feet of clear space around the inflatable at all times.

• The inflatable should only be used when dry. Avoid use if the surface becomes slippery.

Liability and Responsibility

• All users participate at their own risk.

• The person hiring the inflatable is responsible for supervising users and ensuring proper use.

• You will be held liable for any damage, injury, or theft caused during the hire period.

• Replacement costs will be charged if the inflatable is stolen.
