When do you deliver bouncy castles and inflatables?
For weekend bookings during peak times, expect deliveries from Wednesday onwards. You'll receive a text notification the day before delivery. Our delivery window starts at approximately 8am. Collections begin on Monday morning. While we operate on a geographical basis, we strive to be flexible. Let us know your preferred delivery times during booking, especially for indoor hall parties or school fetes - we'll accommodate your needs!
Where do you deliver?
Our bouncy castles and inflatables are available across Mid Ulster and beyond. Some of our most popular delivery areas include Antrim, Ballymena, Belfast, Magherafelt, Randalstown, and Cookstown. Delivery charges can be seen when you make your order.
Is there anything I need to do in preparation?
For a seamless inflatable delivery, please ensure there's a clear access path of approximately 3 feet wide. Keep the paths obstacle-free for our sack trolley delivery. Within 50 meters of the chosen inflatable spot, access to mains power electricity is essential. Don't worry if mains power isn't available; we can provide a diesel generator for hire.
To avoid any delays, kindly prepare the site by clearing away any obstructions before our arrival. During the summer months, we stick to a tight schedule to ensure timely delivery and collection for all our valued customers.
Where can I put my bouncy castle?
We have some essential guidelines for outdoor inflatable setups:
- Choose a Suitable Area: Ensure the inflatable is placed on a reasonably flat lawned area. Slight slopes are acceptable, allowing for secure staking to the ground. If the setup will be on a concrete or stone surface, please inform us during booking.
- Clear the Site: The site area must be free from stones, sharp objects, and any dog mess for a safe play environment.
- Keep Distance from Hazards: To avoid potential hazards, the inflatable should not be placed near bushes, trees, or fences.
- Adequate Clearance: Provide at least 3 feet of clearance on both sides and 6 feet at the front and back of the inflatable.
- Barbecue Safety: For added safety, keep barbecues at least 12 feet away from the inflatable.
What is your insurance coverage?
We are fully insured with £10 million public liability cover. If you're hosting your special occasion at a hall or venue, we can promptly forward our insurance via email to the concerned parties. You can also view a copy of our insurance policy upon request, as we carry it with us at all times. Please note that our equipment is protected under a Public Liability Policy, subject to the terms and conditions of hire.
While we prioritise safety through insurance, we kindly remind you that supervision during the hire period is your responsibility.

We have full membership of the British Inflatable Hirers' Alliance (BIHA) and also The Inflatable Play Enterprise (TIPE).
When should I book my inflatable?
Summer months, especially weekends and bank holidays, fill up quickly. Don't miss out—book in advance to avoid disappointment. We recommend early bookings, but we also take same-day bookings. For last-minute fun, give us a call! With a wide range of inflatables, we'll do our best to accommodate you.
Do you offer overnight bouncy castle hire?

What happens in the event of rain?
If it's raining on your party day, we'll give you a call to discuss your options. We understand unpredictable weather. Most of our castles have shower covers, ready to handle unexpected showers.
Do you perform full installations?
Leave it all to us! We handle everything for you. From delivery to complete installation, including safety mats, we'll have the inflatable ready for use. We'll go through the instructions with you. After your booking ends, we'll promptly collect and fully dismantle all equipment. Enjoy your event stress-free with our expert assistance!.
Can I book an inflatable for a hall or venue?
Some of our inflatables are perfect for indoor fun in halls. Just remember to check with the hall you're booking to ensure the ceiling height is suitable.

What do I do if I need to clean the inflatable?
We take cleanliness seriously. Before every hire, our inflatables undergo thorough checks and cleaning. If any soiling occurs during your hire, you may only use hot soapy water for cleaning. Please refrain from using chemical cleaning agents.
Quick action is vital in cleaning any marks. For instance, face paints should be promptly cleaned off while still wet to prevent permanent staining.
How long does it take to set up a bouncy castle?
It takes us around 15 minutes to install or collect our equipment. This depends on which inflatable is ordered as well as ease of access at your venue.
What do I do if I need to cancel?
If you need to make a cancellation please notify us as soon as possible. Contact us no later than 5pm the evening before the booking to speak with our team.
Who is responsible for supervising the inflatables?
A responsible person over the age of 18 must supervise the inflatables and any soft play or other equipment hired at all times.
Can the inflatable be moved after it has been set up?
No, the inflatable must remain in the position where it was originally installed and secured to the ground at all times.
Are food and drinks allowed on the inflatable?
No. Food, drinks (including alcohol), and chewing gum are not allowed on or near the inflatable to avoid mess, choking hazards, and damage.
What should users remove before using the inflatable?
All shoes, badges, and jewellery must be removed. Spectacles, plastic alice bands, and high-heeled shoes should also be removed for safety.
How do I prevent overcrowding on the inflatable?
Follow the recommendations printed on the inflatable regarding the maximum number of users and their age or size.
Can balloons or party decorations be used on the inflatable?
No, balloons, party-poppers, henna, face paint, coloured streamers, and silly string are prohibited as they can stain or damage the equipment.
Can water or liquids be used on the inflatable?
No, except for minimal cleaning purposes. Deliberately soaking the equipment will incur additional charges and can cause issues with subsequent bookings.
What weather conditions make inflatables unsafe?
Inflatables must not be used in wind or gusts exceeding 19mph, heavy rain, or thunderstorms.
Are animals, smoking, or barbecues allowed near the equipment?
No, animals, smoking, barbecues, and glass items are not allowed near the equipment for safety reasons.
What behaviour is not allowed on the inflatable?
Reckless or boisterous behaviour, climbing or sitting on the walls, and jumping from the top of slides are strictly prohibited. No pushing, fighting, bouncing on the step, or dangerous tricks like somersaults. Keep children of different sizes separate to avoid injury.
How should slides be used safely?
Children must slide one at a time, in a sitting position, feet first. Climbing on the sides of the slide is not allowed, and safety mats must remain in place at the bottom of the slide.
What's your policy on damage, theft or misuse?
The hirer is responsible for the inflatable during the hire period. Damage, theft, or misuse will incur charges. All users participate at their own risk.
What should I do if the blower loses power or overheats?
Immediately remove all users from the inflatable, switch the blower off, and wait 1-2 minutes before restarting it. If the problem persists, contact Rascals Castles Mid Ulster immediately.
What should I do in the event of an injury?
Seek professional medical treatment within 2 hours and notify Rascals Castles Mid Ulster as soon as possible, providing detailed records of the incident and treatment.
Can I switch off the blower when the inflatable is not in use?
Yes, the blower should be switched off when the inflatable is not in use. If using multiple blowers on a single extension lead, only plug them in one at a time during inflation.
