Two players climb onto the central podium, take a padded pugil stick each and attempt to knock one another onto the inflatable bed below. The complication is that the platform itself moves beneath them.

A standard gladiator game challenges competitors to maintain their balance while defending themselves and attacking their opponent. The Rock 'N' Roll Gladiator Duel adds another variable by allowing the raised platform to move from side to side and backwards and forwards.

Players therefore have three things to think about simultaneously: their own footing, the movement of their opponent and the incoming pugil stick. A confident start can turn into a rather undignified landing surprisingly quickly.

What Happens During a Duel?

Two appropriately matched participants put on the supplied protective helmets and take their positions on the podium. Each receives a foam pugil stick. Once play begins, they attempt to remain upright while using the padded sticks to unbalance one another.

When somebody loses their footing, the surrounding inflatable bed provides the landing area. The equipment is specifically designed for this type of activity, rather than competitors improvising their own version of gladiator fighting on unsuitable equipment.
